Our Story
Wrek'd Tech emerged from founder Shamoka Aiken's vision to transform electronic waste management. With 20 years of IT experience, Aiken recognized that conventional e-waste processing recovered only 70% of materials, wasting resources while polluting the environment. This inspired the Ex-Spec system concept—combining AI and robotics to achieve 97% material recovery rates. Currently in concept phase, our company began as an LLC planning to become a Public Benefit Corporation. We're now preparing to build partnerships with South Carolina academic institutions to develop our innovative technology, focusing on securing initial funding and establishing our research framework. Through this journey, we remain committed to creating sustainable value while addressing one of our era's most pressing environmental challenges.

As founder and CEO, he is establishing Wrek'd Tech as a Public Benefit Corporation to balance profit with environmental impact. His immediate focus is on securing academic partnerships, particularly with South Carolina universities, to develop the Ex-Spec system's AI and robotics capabilities. Aiken's long-term vision includes building a nationwide network of facilities and franchise operations, ultimately aiming to make traditional recycling obsolete through advanced technology and circular economy principles.
